Father’s day around the world

Fathers are thought of as superheroes to his family and the perfect time to celebrate their gallantry is during the annual celebration of Father’s Day!

There is no better way to celebrate Father’s Day than by spending it with the rest of the family, creating beautiful memories. And whether you are just having a nice, old barbeque out in the backyard or having the time of your life on a beach on a tropical island, Father’s Day presents the ideal opportunity to snap that incredible photo of your dad, which we’re sure he would treasure forevermore.

Our dads are usually reserved when it comes to photo shoots, and somewhat shy even. It usually takes them a while before they open up. To help the process go smoothly, here are some clever ideas for ways to capture some tender photos for Dad’s special day.

A photo with the kids

You can try having the kids pose in these fantastic ways and then, later on, hand over the pictures to Dad as a present straight from the little kids.

  • One unique way to greet Dad a very happy Father’s Day is to have the little ones pose with their feet facing the camera. Then, using a market, you can write a small but heart-warming message on the bottoms of their feet like “We Love You Dad!”
  • Most times, you would not normally allow the kids to write anything down the driveway. This time, you can make an exception for Dad’s special day! Ask the kids to get some chalk and then, create a unique “Happy Father’s Day” card on the pavement. After they are done, they can then lie down beside their masterpiece and then, you can take a snapshot of it.
  • Dad is a hero to everyone in the family, most especially the kids. Let the kids show their appreciation for dear old Dad by letting them dress up in his clothes, whether it’s his favourite suit or his worn-out pair of jeans.
  • Dad just will not be dad without his family. To commemorate the special day, Dad can take a picture while he is surrounded by his entire family while they are holding up a sign that contains a special message for him like “We Appreciate You” or “You Complete Us.”
  • You can also try to create a collage of snaps that have the children carrying cardboard letters that spell out the word “Dad.” This would be perfect if you have three kids but in the event that you less or more, you can still get as creative and innovative as you want to be.

Photographs of Dad and the entire family

  • There is nothing quite as special as catching Dad in photos where he is participating in his favourite activities with the kids. Whether it’s playing basketball with his son or giving a piggyback ride to his daughter, these moments should make for unforgettable photographs.

  • Get that father and son moment on camera by taking a photo of them doing a fist bump or a jumping high five.

  • Or you can get a touching photo of Dad and his little daughter while he is putting her to bed by reading a bedtime story.
